Slap south O.C. with fees

This letter appeared in the OC Register on April 17th.

Slap south O.C. with fees

Ladera Ranch and the rest of south Orange County continue their not-in-my-backyard attitude toward infrastructure improvements ["People power vs. power plant," Local, April 15]. They don't want a new airport, a new courthouse, a jail, new roads or, now, a power plant in their neighborhood.

South county residents should pay higher fees when using the aforementioned services, and San Diego Gas and Electric should cut off their power at the first need for rolling blackouts.

Good observation. Use newsoc.org and irvinetattler.com for publishing ideas to open El Toro International Airport on Great Park industrial land.

The airports a dead issue, Vernon. Time to move on.

Airport is so contaminated it can only be used as an airport. See newsoc, org and salemnews.com for pollution. If Woodbridge is torn down, the planes can take off on 25, although that is not needed. 7 and 34 will do. See planned El Toro International Airport, 2002.

Tear down Woodbridge? Yeah, like that will happen. Please pass the pot, Vern.

Yup. Tear down Woodbridge. Read all about it on newsoc.org and salemnews.com. But runway 25 is not really needed. It's frosting on the airport cake.

The airport cake has mold on it. Throw it away.

I find it amusing that you would recommend the Irvine Tattler. Stephen Smith says there is virtually no way El Toro will EVER open as an airport.

Read for yourself, Vernon!

The Tattler will come around when it sees all the money the planned El Toro International Airport will make for Irvine. The best place to find out all about the mold on Woodbridge is in the Salem-news.com website. Also see all the stories on newsoc.org. Turn on the lights at El Toro, Vernon. It's the only way to save the Great Park.

I forwarded Stephen Smith, publisher of the Irvine Tattler, this web site address. He had a good laugh. He says you really need to get a life!

Since you haven't done your homework very well, Stephen Smith was one of the lead opponents of El Toro's conversion to an airport, so you are really dreaming if you think he will "come around". He has come around and he doesn't want it.

I cant' wait to see what you write next, Vernon, I enjoy the laugh.

El Toro is contaminated and can only be used for the airport which it is. The Tattler will come around when presented with the options. Glad the Tattler publisher is reading this web site. Irvine is badly polluted, and the contamination is spreading towards the water wells by the 55 freeway. The airport will stop this and clean it up. Might be wise not to drink the water or take showers. Marines are dying. Turn on the lights, Vernon.
